  • OH MY DOG! During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we have to design the graphic for a standard line of dog hair care. We start thinking how people wash their dogs, were they wash them, who wash them, when they wash them, etc. We assume that washing the dog is always an adventure. When you try to wash them they run away, or they splash you, or when you finish washing them they run to the mud, or they bite you. So we want to make it easier and funny. In the pack we want to transmit quality, simplicity, fun, and ludic. We emphasize the context of game and wonder putting a dog interacting or playing with the logo.     2011 Packaging, Graphic Design, Product Design
  • AUSONIA During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we had to redesign an existing pack (feminine pads) Today, the pads are not made or packaged discreetly. So women go through uncomfortable moments when they have to get them out of her purse. This also causes insecurity in young women who start using them. Besides their packages are not meant to be "pretty" are ugly and non-functional at the time of opening. So our intention was to change the concept of the pack, esthetic and functional. The goals we set were to redesign not only the pack but also the product itself. This is to redesign the use, portability and make them discreet. And if you put them in a bathroom does not look bad and uncomfortable. We use symbols and colors to easy recognize witch kind of pad you need.     2011 Packaging, Graphic Design, Product Design
  • icono In this workshop we had to design what kind of food we were going to sell and the package. Our idea from the beginning was to try to do something different, a new concept of integrating Take Away with something as common today like: Networks social, especially with FACEBOOK and like STARBUCKS. Each user generated its own Facebook profile and then when the order is ready the user is sent a notification or a message indicating that they can pass for the food. The packaging is also example of this customization, because there you can also write your user profile (if you're ordering physically) and then these data are recorded for future purchases.     2011 Packaging, Graphic Design, Product Design
  • Parkay During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we have to redesign the pack for a famous american butter (Parkay). This product has to be for mass consumption in supermarkets. We think in colors that usually are used to represent butter. The most common are: yellow, blue and green. This colors represent naturalness, freshness, etc.. We use for natural butter container yellow, to represent a sunset or dawn. We also put cows to represent that the butter contain real milk. We put them grazing in green fields to represent freshness. In the light butter we put blue, that represent a clear sky (softness) first hours of the day.   • Enrique Olvera During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we have to design the pack for an international chef who had 3 Michelin stars. The challenge was that the pack did not have to look like a pack for mass consumption, such as frozen food of the supermarket. in other words take the chef's food at the table, give sophistication to frozen food. I put a black background to maintain elegance but adding a slate texture that give a touch of freshly cooked and handmade.   • El Bosque Escondido During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we have to design the pack for a fragrance for men, women and children. The pack has to be premium and elegant. The concept was the hidden forest. So i want to represent this with a clean design on the outside, just text. And on the inside part put images of a forest.   • Milko When I was taking a workshop of creativity at the master of packaging design at ELISAVA in Barcelona. Professor David Espluga ordered us a redesign of mass consumer product. The product I chose was the pack of milk, because it’s an essential product in every home. And I think that it can be different and funny that permit you make a collection of them and not just a storage pack. When I thought about all of that the first thing it came in my mine was an aluminum can, because you can take it any place it has a kind of important status. That way I can differentiate and easily distinguish from the rest of milk packages. So I think in a simple idea to incorporate the udders at the can so that way you can identify that the drink is milk and u don’t need to read milk on it. Also to differentiate them from soda or juice. They are in different colors so you can identify the different kind of milk and flavors. For example: brown it means that is of chocolate.   • Mood When I was taking a workshop of creativity at the master of packaging design at ELISAVA in Barcelona. Professor David Espluga ordered us to design a product that could change our state of mood at any time. for example if we are sad we take this product to get happy. The first thing that came to my mind is to design a fruit-flavored drink that could carry and take it anywhere anytime. My idea was to design something very simple and graphic. So I use pouches because is a very good form to take anywhere a drink. Then I decide to put in the front in a graphic representation of the mood we want to have when we drink the juice. That way it would be a clean design and it communicate much with no text on it. And in the back I put the name of the mood and the flavor.     2012 Product Design, Graphic Design, Packaging
  • M Project that was made for design and strategy in packaging for the school of design ELISAVA (Barcelona, Spain) by Alfonso Sotelo and Maria Fernanda Suarez Cuberos.
    M is a wine that reflects the thoughts, traditions and culture of latin america. We try to represent this latin culture by thinking in the colors, food, and special ingredients that are locate only in that regions. We want that M symbolizes or represents "death"; the celebration of death, the ways they celebrates the end and the beginning of a new cycle, to no fear and face the problems. It's the celebration of the unknown, the new beginning (life).

  • DUPLICOLOR During a workshop of the master of packaging at ELISAVA (Barcelona), we have to redesign the graphic for a standard line of paint can. We start looking for different kinds of paint cans. We observe that is difficult to find the paint we want or to recognize the one we need so we decided to just put a single background color to unify the entire range. Because today all brands handled many colors for each can. It would be easier to find.   • Eagle Warrior When i was in the huacal studio with 2 more friends (Rodrigo Lépez and Antonio Mancillas) we enter a competition to design the first division soccer cup for Mexico. We think that the cup have to represent the struggle that is generated in the field between two teams to get the victory. And what better way to represent that struggle with a warrior eagle. He has to fight with all he had to get the victory and to defend his beliefs.     2011 Product Design
